Become a Tutor

Education is most powerful when it’s personal. Through the Tutoring Council, student volunteers provide free academic support to refugee and underprivileged youth so they can find light in a dark classroom.

Our tutors focus on:

• English literacy — helping students overcome language barriers.
  
  

• Core subjects — math, science, and writing support to strengthen confidence.
  
  

• Cultural understanding — meeting students where they are, with patience and empathy.
  
  

Tutoring sessions are currently offered virtually, making it possible for volunteers from anywhere to get involved.
